This is an impressive, grade ll, cob built property in the village of Whitchurch in Hampshire. We were originally tasked with rectifying the gable end, which was causing serious internal damp problems. After a brief inspection and assessment, we discussed the issues with the client who decided to take the proactive approach of completely re-rendering as there was so much degredation to the cob substrate.
It was a very lengthy job to complete, partly due to the nature of carrying out repairs in Cob as it took a few weeks before subsequent coats could be applied, and partly due to the curing process of the lime putty plaster which like the cob, took a few weeks between coats. But the finished result could not be any more perfect.
